I will be bringing my GPS Garmin 12 Map with me to Moab. This is a relatively new toy for me and I am a long way from considering myself proficient with it. Yes I am proficient with a map and compass... private pilots license.....sailboat for 35 years, and I do have excellent maps for the Moab area. I also have the Moab trails book. I have several sets of downloadable Topo CD's....Topo (Wildflower) and Garmin's Mapsource Topo. Here's what I don't have. I don't have wizzbang computer skills or the time at the last minute to flog through it. I don't have a laptop. I don't know how to down load waypoints into my 12 Map. Here's the question. Has anybody already compiled this info? Is anybody hauling a laptop to Moab with a CD or DVD drive in it? Can someone walk me through this when we get there? I have beer, good beer! I can bring the software, I have the computer cable. Much obliged. Morgan, not lost yet Moab....101 degrees predicted today....boy howdy
