This is also done by guys that ride ATVs because if you knock the tire off of the rim there is so much volume it is hard to get seated in the field. Also, I think most of those are tubeless tires. I have seen this done or done it myself but regardless it is not the technique for your problem. More for high volume tubeless tires. Since everything is already apart, which is most of the work. And....since you've already taught yourself to change shims on the intakes, which is a bit scary the first time, Why not... change the exhausts one size looser to .008 ? Don't mix up the intake with the exhaust side. Ever hear of a case like that, Kurt ? Don't forget the anti-seize when reassembling.
