about klr 650 model 2001...

Hi all, I live in Croatia, Europe and my Kawasaki dealer said there will be no 2001 model KLR 650 cause the Japanese company will produce only the KLE 500 as the Enduro/Dual Sport bike. But the KLE cannot match the KLR; although the two cylinder KLE is stronger and smoother, it is also 20 kg heavier, the front brake sucks and it's two CVK34 carbs double the KLR consumption. I'm not sure if my dealer is telling the truth. It seems unlikely Kawasaki would stop making the KLR 650, one of the best Enduro/Dual Sport bikes. My 1988 KLR 650 still runs great and wouldn't change it for a KLE 500.
