Hello everyone I look forward to reading the mail that arrives off this list. While I do not presently ride, I have for many years, both off and on road but set it a side to raise to kids. I had to, not enough dollars to go around. Two of four kids are gone and the other two are getting to the age of being most independent. I have decided that a dual sport bike would serve me best. I live just north of Bellingham, Wa which is around 85 miles north of Seattle. Lots of forest service and fire roads to explore and Canada is just 5 mins away. I was leaning towards a used bike if I can find one in good condition. A question for everyone are there any years that I should not consider. Well I have rambled on for long enough. If any of you have bits of wisdom to pass on, please do. Thanks, Mike MikeMadan@...

Lynden? I'm 5 minutes from the border crossing. If you can't find anything local for you, I'd suggest shopping up here. Your $ will go a long way. BTW... '96 and newer. Nothing 'wrong' with the older bikes... some prefer them... but they made a couple changes in '96 that are still in effect. Cheers, Arne

There's been an 89 KLR for sale in the San Diego Union Tribune for a few weeks now. It's got 12K miles on it. They're asking 1,100 for it now. Kev
