Maybe Todd is new, as are you Juan. Maybe neither of you have been around
long enough to have witnessed other's evictions from this list for the same
offence. But you've both been here long enough to read (posted at the
footer of EVERY message on the list) that SPAM is not allowed here. I don't
like playing the heavy - I put up with enough of that bullshit at work to
carry me over on my days off thank you very much.
Juan, I can appreciate your objective look at the matter. I haven't been
having a bad day, I've been having a very bad week. Having said that
though, I try not to let personal stuff interfere with my managing of the
List. However, I MUST take SPAM very seriously. I have the e-mail welfare
of over 500 people on this List to consider. Smiles and flowers are "nice"
on occasion. Probably would have worked for Todd as he's an intelligent
fellow. But what about the other few on the list that may have been
considering SPAMming us? They figure, "cool worst case scenario is a slap
on the wrist. I might as well go for it." Once the damage is done it's too
late. I guess I'm just not a good teacher... that must make me more of a,
"shut up and listen" kinda guy.
I don't want to see Todd go... If I did I would have unsubscribed him
straight away. But I didn't right? Stick around Todd. I know you've got a
lot to offer.
Cheers,
Arne
