rides in n.ga and al: recomendations

Hi all: Going to the Georgia BMW rally at Hiawasse (with associated dual-sport ride) on the weekend of May 5-6-7 and will then procede on into the Anniston, Alabama area. I was wondering is anybody had any suggestions as to any good places to ride in the general area. I might even get a wild hare and run over to see the Mississippi and the Ozarks.
