[dsn_klr650] nklr....hows this e-group thing work

egroups.com is like lists.xmission.com -- a listserver. egroups.com is also an online community clearing house -- webspace to post community stuff, chat room to hold Elden nights in, online posting of our posts so, if you're on the road and traveling, you can go to a cyber cafe, log into egroups.com, post to the list, have a coffee, log back in, find out if anyone has a solution for your problem, send in a trip report, log out, hit the road. Or whatever you can dream up. If you don't want to, you never have to visit the website. You can just wait for the mail messages to appear in your mailbox like they used to off of lists.xmission.com. If you do want to, you can visit the website of egroups.com and wander around and see all the links people put there, etc. IMHO, the online posting of the messages is a small part of what egroups.com has to offer. OTOH, I don't actually go there much unless one of my 10 lists has an event happening, or I need to set all 10 lists to no mail so I can go on vacation. It's really nice to have all my lists in one place... But they're not quite all there yet. :) ---o&>o--- Sarah Barwig sarah@...
