Car purchased as started restoration in 2004 with quite a number of parts
missing. All the hard to get parts.
Nevertheless over the next4 years accumulated original or restoration
parts from all over and now is a running restoration.
Previous owners, 1 for 37 years from 1965, next from 2002-2004, when I
purchased the car as described.
I am enjoying the car so much but one day I will have to start from the
ground up. I find the more I drive the car the more I enjoy it.

Cheers Neville Oates

P.S. As I look through the gallery I can quite a number of friends' cars
displayed.

=== and - about car badges

I have left a message on the vendor's answering machine, asking him to call
me. I plan to order 50 more car badges, and will advise the group when
the order is placed and badges are expected.

Welcome Tom!

You have an EXU that has been previously unknown. Somewhere in the future,
I will compile a listing of all known EXU's for a mini-EXU registry to help
all with networking of EXU topics. In the meantime, if you need any
assistance with EXU items or general assistance, the members will be glad to
help along with myself. Glad to have you on board.

who writes:

Several people have indicated that I should join your group. I just
purchased 1936 MG-TA roadster, chassis TA0352, engine MPJG583. It is red with
tan interior, black top & curtains. See attached photos. I also own the
1952 MG-TD Mark II. I have the TA running, but is currently in the garage
getting all fluids changed, brakes checked, greased and everything else
checked over. It has had only a couple hundred miles driven in the past 30
years. I am looking for a distributor cap and oil filter. No one seems to
have either. At least not researched to a TA. Who knows what else they might
fit?

Any other TA's in the mid-west? In the country? Do I have the oldest?
By serial number it is the 99th production car, built on July 27, 1936. I
bought it on it's 73rd birthday.

Question on the front wheel hubs. There are 6 nuts and 2 tapered screws
that hold the brake drum to the hub. This car has only 2 nuts and no
screws on the left side. What thread are the nuts and screws? They are not
metric or US standard

The "Special Files" and "Members"sections on our website are not
accessible to the public
and can be accessed only by entering (use lower case)

I have discovered that sometimes one needs to delete the xxxx that
appears there and then type in the password "xpag" - and you might have to try it
a couple of times.
