nklr: anyone want to buy a plane with me?

Post by Willy J » Mon Aug 14, 2006 2:34 am

Sometimes its not an option Kieth. The only reason I will fly is for business. I dont get a choice when travelling as my travel arrangements are made for me and I generally have to be somewhere at a short notice. However CPT Bob..... Maybe a college education would have been a good option for your son. Some of the people who conduct the screening do not look like they are capable of seeking a better paying job. Its an insult to travellers to place someone in charge of security that cannot speak clearly, fluently and with an average vocabulary. It is also insulting to deal with ignorance and complete stupidity. I left a lighter in my carry on bag and one in the change jar. They took the one in my change jar but did not notice the one in my bag??? As for the cheap folks here. I have a Nalgene bottle that doesnt leave my side. Fill it up on the secure side at a water fountain or even at a soda dispenser where it dispenses water. If you have flown lately since 911 I am sure you have seen it. Its the poster telling you to follow all laws and orders and instructions from any TSA employee or security personnel. instead of some cookie cutter picture of someone its a faceless image with a name badge with numbers. Seems pretty Orwellian to me. Freaks me out too. Now I am supposed to take orders from a nameless badge and DO NOT question them. BTW its for my own safety..... Think about it...... keithrstone wrote: I too was sick to realize how many bombs etc can be made out of items that could be easily carried on. It's about time they do something about it. I agree with the changes and will comply. As for being "tidied" over... if I can't go 4 hours without food or drink then flying is the least of my problems. Everyone has a "vote" if they like a change or not.... if you like it then do patronize the business, if not..... then don't. Keith --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "Blake Sobiloff" wrote:

I ordered stuff several different times from TPI and and VERY pleased with the service. The lady who answers the phone may not be the KLR guru you are lookin' for, but I have talked to at least one fella who knows his shit. Definitely good folks. JACIII
