Hey Jeff~ I saw your pics and decided to be a copy cat and I have my A19 torn down and ready to "bed line" when the temp in Chico comes up a bit. I really like the look of yours. I'd like to see more detailed pics. A Ducati huh? I'm moving up in the sport with just a paint job! Cool! :-P Steve Chico Jeff Khoury wrote:
With every scratch, ding or rub my '09 KLR is slowly turning "Bedliner Black". I get a lot of compliments on that finish.  I've removed all the decals and the fenders, hand guards and side panels are all bedliner.  I've gotten several people ask me if it's a Ducati. :) -Jeff Khoury

I just read that post also.  An installer I had used in the past that applied professional bed liner to my saddle bags sanded the bags with 80 grit...Yikes, but it covered great and stuck well. Not sure I need to go that far, plus this spray can liner mater may not cover that well. Mike H.

Funny you should mention adhesion. I just sent an email on surface prep.  - Jeff Khoury On Feb 25, 2010, at 3:31 PM, "Mike Hilton" wrote: Jeff, what brand of bed liner are you using?  Any trouble with adhering properly? I  had the seat off Monday and saw where the seat covering staples had worn a spot on the backside of the fuel tank. Not wanting it to rust, I grabbed a bottle of Dupli-Color # TY 01560 "Super red II 3E5 Toyota" Scratch Fix 2in1 paint. It's a near perfect match! eddie

Surface prep is the key...  When you get it done we should plan a ride somewhere. My brother has a KLR too.  I will wash it and take some better pics this weekend. It's been rainy down here in LA, so it looks a little ratty right now.  -Jeff Khoury

Sold my KLR this past winter so looking to get another one soon but this bike crossed my path at a friends garage sale. In the corner of his garage under a ton of junk was a 1985 Suzuki Madura 700. It was running when he parked it 5 years ago, stole the battery for another bike and just let this one set. Any of you old-timers remember the GV700 and GV1200? Yeah it's a Suzuki,a four cylinder, classed as a power cruiser, what else is just wrong about these bikes. Thanks, Monte
