That petcock is a crappy design IMO, mine did the same thing, cept I
had Gas flowing out and onto the starter motor and engine.
Headed down to the local shop (read that as small) and they had a
diaphram kit in stock paid I think $12, took petcock apart and
installed new parts, leak went away.
Might just try to snug the screws first, maybe the O-ring did'nt like
sitting for 22 months and when you turned it ya found a bad spot, or
should say the gas found the bad spot.
Might be able to just replace the O-ring, mine the diaphram had a hole.
The 606 is not that loud, at least just the front, put a K270 on the
rear and a 606 on the front.
