trials ridin is way cool!

Yeah those trials machines are unbeleivable. When I used to live in West Australia I once went to see a trial. Mick Andrews, who was the world champion at the time, was there on what looked like a kid's bike - a YZ80. What he could do with it was just amazing. Could ride up what was almost a cliff to a ledge and just turn the bike sideways to come to a rest on the ledge. Boulders, logs and incredibly difficult sections all looked like child's play I once had a ride on a mate's Bultaco Matador trials bike and although the controls were all funny I felt like I could go almost anywhere. Although I enjoy my KLR, something closer to the capabilities of a trials bike is what I'd really like. In Australia the major Jap manufacturers make what are called Ag (agriculture) or farm bikes. I don't know what they're geared like now but years ago they had super low first and sometimes second gears, huge padded seat, enclosed chain, proper lever protectors, electric start, clutch lock, dual side stands, front and rear carriers, headlight protector - all sorts of good farkle but not much power, being 100cc or nowadays up to 200cc. But to cruise at 60 - 70mph is not really gunna be practical. If someone could make a 350 or 400 Ag bike I'd snap one up. They're reasonably light and while they can't tackle the extreme conditions a trials bike can they'll go into more difficult country than a KLR or similar bike can with me riding it.
