I agree a bounty on these forest rats.... Got to be to stupidest creature on the planet. Dooden A15 Green Ape Many many time having missing these stupids things, but got one square in the side with a 1/2 ton Chevy once..

A buddy came with in 10 feet of hitting an Elk on I-40 near Flagstaff and near one of those crossing signs on his Bandit doing 90 mph. The more I read stories like this, the more I realize how lucky I was when I nailed my deer on the Blue Ridge Parkway on my Tengai 5-6 years ago. I managed to keep the bike up, and received only a badly-sprained ankle, a tweaked frame, and a destroyed fairing. Mark

Yep, I am more afraid of deer on a bike than anything. Dogs too, my brother hit a German Shepard on a Vespa when we were kids and crashed badly with no helmet. I was passing through Chama New Mexico last June and got to talking to BMW rider. He said this was his first ride since his crash last year after a deer hitting him. He was following two guys and the deer just jumped into him out of some brush. He never saw it or had time to react. The other riders probably spooked it. Best to be first in line sometime. A guy yesterday laughed when I said to take heed at those animal crossing signs like they can read. Animals are kinda like humans as they have their own paths or roads (easier access routes) hence the term cow trail. Criswell Sent from my iPad

Lotsa road rash, ground his hip down to the bone. He said the number one thing to remember when you are going to hit a deer, at speed, on a bike is "To keep your mouth closed." He was using his fingers to spoon deer stomach contents out of his mouth before he realized the extent of his other injuries. Urp..... E E
