Definitely truth in that for sure. However an alternative spin on the same guestimation is that we 'needed Saddam' for something and let him live after a slap on the wrist for violating whatever agreement we had going with him...which I believe was to assist in controlling and undermining Iran. The alternate spin is that he went back on his word after we left and what we are doing now is correcting our position of power with our policy. Do I think our 'policy' is ethical...not really, but it is what it is and we for decades have survived on our power. If we started to back down with people who break their deals with us, particularly at an intelligence level, we would lose our power base. What Clinton was doing, was furiously cutting the budget for our intelligence operations, disclosing things that undermined their operations, dismantling our military. In some Utopia where people actually get along this might work, but instead all it got us was a bunch of little guys that thought we were again the sleeping giant. 2 or 3 years ago I was very busy before a trip to Veracruz so for the only time in years I paid to have my tires mounted. The tires were Avon Distancias which I was trying for the first time. The front tire was installed backwards something I didn't notice till much latter. I didn't notice any handling irregularities. I was latter told that some people mount the front Distancia opposite on the front to get more bite off pavement. The tire did wear faster compared to the back then I'm used to. I wasn't impressed with the Distancias in any way but that's another matter. Bogdan
