saving an old agm battery

I added a toggle switch on my headlight to save juice when I need or want to...like riding off-road in the daylight. I also added a little LED light bar under my headlight so I am still kind of legal with a light up front even when headlight is off.

C.E.-You may have stated why the problem occurred in an earlier post, I might have missed it. Was this damage done by oil starvation = low oil in the crank case or was it something else?m1. This email has been sent from a virus-free computer protected by Avast. www.avast.com

Not only did it score the exaust cam journal but it actually cracked one. Pictures to follow. I need an 08 or newwer head to replace the horktificated one. I will also need new cams. Going 685cc I guess although the cyl looks of. It is a bit out of round but nothing that wont bore out. I see new heads are close to a grand. Anybody have a crash? If I ebay one from someone off list I run the risk of getting an oil starved one with a gauled exaust cam journal. Can that be fixed?

saving an old agm battery

The KACR (Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release) works with weights, a spring and centrifugal force. I can t see how pressing the starter button could be more than a placebo. I ve push started several Gen 1 KLRs and found that bump-starting in second gear is the way to go, first gear *is* too low and the rear time would just skid. No matter what gear it was in there was too much compression and rear tire would just skid. Was later told that one needs to simultaneously push the starter button for compression release. I have since not been in a position to try it. Is that the trick? _____ From: "Norm Keller normkel32@... Helps to pull head light fuse or plug. Really needs a down hill roll. ---------- ---------- ---------- [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
