corbin seats

I got a corbin dished for the purpose of getting my feet a bit closer to the ground without sacrificing suspension travel. I'm happy with it! erik

I used the dished seat for 5,000 miles on my 2001 and was very pleased with it. The narrow front was good for putting my feet down and the wide seat served me well for 300-400 mile days. I've sold the bike and still have the seat. If anyone is interested, the seat is for sale for $120 (includes shipping to 48 states). It's in good shape and the color is gray with blue piping. Scott

Hi ! every one. I a member of this group for over 1 YEAR. On the 22 of april, I sent an e-mail to the group saying : " Almost done w/ PT therapy (from my moto. accident in oct.), now I'm looking to fix my bike & be back on road. To fix it I will need, an aftermarket handlbar (pro taper, ect...), corbin dished seat (I ripped off mine) or lowering kit & factory seat. " Question: why ? when I ask for something, I don't get any response. But ! when someone else ask for the same thing as me (few days after me), he (a new member) a response & help. Maybe, if my name was SERGE BUSH that will be different. WHY ??? SERGE BUSH A14 sergio de oliveira wrote: Hey! scott. I'm interested to buy your seat. Do you mind to send some pictures. I will transfer the money to your bank acc. or I'll send a personnal check. I looking to buy it since my bike accident in oct. 2004, I ripped my off in the accident. thank you. I have no idea why you didn't get a response. Did you send it directly to the person offering the seat or to the list? There is alot of email on this list and sometimes people skim by topic. This isn't a conspiracy against people with Spanish sounding names, many of us would me more inclined to not answer if your last name was Bush. Alan Henderson A13 Iowa sergio de oliveira wrote:

corbin seats

I've been riding for about 6 months on a 2005 KLR650 I purchased this past Spring and one thing I have noticed, the stock seat is a little unbearable after about an hour or so of riding. I was actually in Daytona Beach on Labor Day weekend and looked at the Dish and Standard seats that Corbin makes. Looking for some opnions from those with some experience using them. My riding is mostly local back roads (gravel, paved and dirt)and highways here in the Northwest corner of SC. I'm actually leaning toward the Corbin Std seat as a replacement. Comments?

I went with the Corbin Flat Seat and have been totally happy I did. The stock seat was too soft for me. I do almost all my riding on hard sufaces and so the wide, flat seat suits my riding. If you do much dirt riding, it may inhibit your movement. Keith Idaho KLR

I have a yellow, dished, Corbin seat that I am quite happy with in the comfort category. Purchased the Corbin and the shortened progressive rear shock due to my lack of inseam length, 30". I am more comfortable being able to put both feet firmly on the ground at stops. It does seem to collect a little bit too much rain when left out, sort of like sitting in a puddle, but you adapt. Monte, in presently sunny Ketchikan watching the "Dam" ships depart. (Niew Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Sundam, 9034 tourists today plus 4000 crew)

Hmmm, I have a dished seat that came with my bike but the previous owner liked the stock one better, maybe I'll give it a try, my inseam is only about 32" and, to my knowledge, the suspension is all stock. Also, I spent a little over a week on the Rotterdam, was a great time that I wish I could repeat. --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "monte quint" wrote:

I am a proud owner of a corbin "dished" seat. I have enjoyed it since day one. I am inseam challenged so it really helps out in that area it also allows way more movement when off roading. You can't be Corbin quality. --------------------------------- Park yourself in front of a world of choices in alternative vehicles. Visit the Yahoo! Auto Green Center.
