There are companies that make spoked wheels that are sealed so you can use a tubeless tire w/o an intertube. The wheel / spokes are all laced up and they apply a rubberized goo like a aircraft gas tank sealer over the tire-side of the nipples and then lock the wheel in a chamber that allows them to pull a vacuum on the spoke-side of the wheel. This pulls the rubberized sealer in around the nipples sealing the rim / spoke / spoke nipple interfaces. Just think what a pain it'll be to do that and repair it later if leak develops. You can run a tubeless tire on the KLR, but you have to use a tube with it. You could try sealing the spoke holes, but then your tubeless tire would not have the safety benefit of a bead retention shoulder on the rim. Of course, neither do your tubed tires.
