ims foot pegs

Not quite sure what you mean. They only install one way. I get a lot more room if I install the backwards and upside down. But then the cleats are on the bottom, making them useless. I guess mine don't rotate. I did the bolt through the brake pedal and it works great. My only concern is if a rock or something hits the bottom of the bolt. I used as short a bolt as I could - only used one nut on the bottom. Still, it worries me a bit. John

I had to do the bolt through the brake routine and went to a Dual Star folding shifter...works great. I checked with Happy Trails last week and the bolt through the brake pedal is still the preferred fix. > > Pat > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >

ims foot pegs

I had the same problem with my shifter (I wear size 13 boots) so I changed to the "big foot" shifter that www.topgunmotorcycles.com http://www.topgunmotorcycles.com/> sells. It solved the shifting problem, but the brake pedal is still waaaay low. Good luck, Jay ________________________________ From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of oldrider25 Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 8:34 PM To: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_KLR650] IMS Foot Pegs I opted for the IMS pegs instead of the offset Moose pegs 'cuz they came with springs for the same price. I wonder if I made a mistake. The Moose pegs are offset 1/2" - does that make a big difference? My MX boot can barely fit under the shifter and the brake pedal is way low. I can't adjust the pedal upwards b/c of interference with the case. Grrrr..... When standing on the pegs, the shifter position is great. Sitting down: sucks. I suppose everything's a compromise. I'm interested in the rims, front and back, if you still have them. (or if anyone else has a spare set of rims - if the front is already re-laced to 17" it's even better) At 6:45 AM -0700 6/6/08, sergio de oliveira wrote:
