nklr is it friday?

Post by Kurt Simpson » Tue Aug 12, 2003 6:49 am

My question is if Kurt is dumping his KLR? Kurt? Pat _____________ Some of the older folks on the list can relate to an annual rite -- a gift which comes with fatherhood. It is called private school and college tuition. Every year about this time, I have to recall what a responsible man I am (grin), suck it up and put priorities in order. So, I'm cleaning out the garage and it includes 4 pristine bikes for sale: 1989 Honda Transalp 1998 Yamaha XT225 2001 R1150GS 2001 KLR650 All four are for sale. After I sell three of them, I'll drive the fourth. I like 'em all. Kurt Simpson Salt Lake City

Being an ex armor guy I can't imagine what it must be like for our guys in Baghdad. They said it was 123 degrees F in Baghdad today, hottest city in the world. Alan Henderson A13 Iowa First of the Fourth Cav

Scott, I sent you a response at your email address. I also think it's crud in the carb. You need to see if it will start and stay running if you give it a lot of gas. You are likely flooding it because the crud is keeping the float bowl valve from closing. Opening up the throttle will allow the air to match the amount of gas getting in. Runing at high RPM for a miniute will often shake the particle loose and allow the bike to idle again. -Bryan A-12 --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "skmilner2003" wrote:
