I had a Connie for several years before I bought the KLR and put about 40k
miles on it. For sport touring it is an excellent bike and I never had a bit
of trouble with it. But when I moved to Colorado and started touring in the
mountains I kept seeing these roads that looked great to explore, but the
Connie would have no part of them (it was never intended for roads like
that) I finally decided that the KLR would be a much more versatile bike in
mountain country; I have never looked back. Now if you can afford to have
both, go for it (must be nice
