Safety Fast

Post by Stefan Guttormsson » Wed Sep 12, 2007 7:29 am

In the last week or so we have been discussing safety and steering.
Someone mentioned rubber brake parts as another often forgotten part
which needs periodic replacement. I realized that the rubber hoses
on my TD aere at least 16 years old. That seemed a little old and I
have replaced them. The hoses on the TC are brand new as well. How
often, in our collective wisdom, should they be replaced?

Speaking of safety. Does anyone know of a modification that has ever been
made to the TCs that will allow the hydraulic brakes to work if there is a
failure of one line or cylinder. Any kind of a backup system other than the
hand brake?

Beg your pardon in advance.

But the MMM brigade have four cables that work independently and you can
use
the foot brake or the handbrake, they work on the same crosshatft to all
four wheels.

Keep driving stop worrying.

Sven Sweden

TC and L types.

I have complete sets of "Safety Fast" from 1988 to 1998

Does anybody want them before they go for recycling?

hi Neil - I suggest you advertise them - in Safety Fast! It is surely a
crime to recycle them...
