   Subject: [mg-tabc] T-ABC Car Badges

Several weeks ago we ordered fifty T-ABC car badges from Ron Hazelhurst,
and him paid $315 for the dies.

The badges came without mounting nuts silver soldered to the back of the
   badge.

Mr Hazelhurst then glued some bolts to the back of the badge, see ->

We declined to accept these badges, and asked that he refund the $315.

We did agree that he could sell the badges if he refunded the $315 (He has
   not done so)
In which case we would first notify T-ABC member regarding the potential
   problem with the mounting bolts.

Apparently Mr Hazelhurst has decided to go ahead and sell the badges. He
   has emailed one member that
" I AM SELLING BADGES DIRECT TO MEMBERS WITH THE APPROVAL OF JIM AND
   WALTER"

That is not true. We have not authorized him to sell T-ABC badges.

If you decide to buy one of these badges, you should be aware that they
have no mounting nuts silver soldered to the back as do the originals, but
have bolts glued to the back.

These badges were not accepted as we do not know if the glue will hold up
   under vibration and climate changes.

PS We are considering negotiations with a different vendor
