Cycle fenders
I'm looking for a proper-looking pair of front cycle fenders. Any
suggestions for sources or anybody have some just lying around that you might
be willing to part with?

Re: Cycle fenders
Hi Manley. I have four front cycle fenders which were intended for a TC but
the supplier screwed up ( or the owner? not me ) and so the fenders were
supplied with a 19" diameter curvature ( not to suit a 19" wheel with
clearance)..
Consequently, the fenders are no use to a TC but should be OK for a TD/TF
15" wheel car.
These fenders are new, but have some minor surface rust, and have a center
raised bead.
Interested?
Bob

cycle fenders
Does any body have any experience mounting cycle wings to stock wing stays. I would like to be able to change back and forth between stock wing and cycle wings on an occasional basis
Thank for the input

digitaldon did that back when one could still get the 36 Ford spare tire
covers (cheap) to make 'em. 7993 still has 'em. Supported forward on the
stock stay, and aft on a quick & dirty support bolted to the frame.

Re: cycle fenders
Jim,
Mounting the cycle fenders above the stock stay works quite well using
either plain domed wings or those with a ridge down the center. I used to
make the switch regularly every spring and fall when it was my only car.
(Winters in England were very wet and the cow shit in the country lanes
remained in slurry state for 6 months)
I didn't use the spacer which goes between the headlight bar and the stay
and replaced the special stud with a 1/4 BSF bolt. I did use the sidelight
spacer under the fender and used the same sidelight mounting bolts with only
the front one going through the stay. The fender rests snugly and squarely
on top of the stay.
I used my own design of stay at the bottom to go to the chassis, but I am
about to make the switch again this year and will try to adapt a pair of the
MMM brackets by lengthening them with a spacer.
Have fun,

Cycle fenders
My aussy panel beater friend is going to make some cycle fenders for my TC
and would like to know if anyone out there would be interested in a set. The
price will depend on the number of orders. The design would be like you see on
most of the PA-TC cars with the bead in the center. Let me know. Bob

Cycle fenders
I had a much larger response concerning the cycle fenders than I expected.
I'm responding over the chat because of that, sorry to those that hate
extraneous e-mail. I will have 4 sets available hopefully in 4-8 weeks. Any sold over
4 will have to wait until next year (unless I get firm orders for more)
because the metal spinner is moving to a new location . So those of you that showed
an interest let me know asap yes/no so I can plan accordingly.
Thanks Bob

Cycle fenders
Anyone interested in cycle fenders I will be at the swap meet in Fullerton on
the 21st of Nov. I won't have a stand but will have an example of the fenders
with me. I will be wearing a MG cap with racing flag design.
