Generator conversions

Post by Jim Buell » Mon Dec 17, 2018 3:29 pm

The recent thread on RF95 regulators reminded me that I seem to remember that there was/is a conversion of our generator to alternator that has the tach fitting and may even have the same case as the original. Anybody have information?  Thank you.  Jim Buell Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad

Generator conversions

I purchased such a conversion for my 47TC.  I ordered the negative ground version and as the instruments have been changed to electronic, did not need the tach drive.  The new alternator/generator fit fine.  Only thing changed was the pulley to a smaller diameter to provide lower speed charging.  The circuitry is simple as all the regulation is handled within the alternator body.  Big change is the weight, less than half the generator.  I purchased direct from Accuspark   http://accuspark.co.uk/dynamator.htm      Shipping was very fast and unit works as advertised.
