FW: MG TC AXLE Broken
Hi T Type MG owners,
I have responded to the MG Vintage Racer group with the following message
but thought it may be of interest to some MG T owners not on the MG Vintage
 Racers list. Hope its helpful.
 Bob
OK Guys, sorry I hit the reply button because other T type racers may
benefit from some of my services. I race a 48 TC and as a result of
preparing the car have manufactured several parts that were not available.
 These are:
1-TC stub axle inserts to repair cracked front stub axles as illustrated on
page 103 of TCs FOREVER.. These have been TC race tested for 3 years and
magnafluxing shows the inserts still good. Steel is 4140, HTSR and the
strength is 129,433 psi with good ductility.
2-TC aluminum oil filter adapter to accept a modern spin-on filter. Direct
replacement for original cannister using original bracket, lines and banjo
 bolts.
3-TD/TF steel oil filter adapter to accept a modern spin-on filter. Easy
 installation.
4-TC Alfin type brake drums, casr iron liner, aluminum finned.
5-TC Rear axle shafts tapered on the outside end to repair the loose hub to
 axle joint.
6-TC Tompkins steering box kit to replace the top cover, makes for easier
 adjustment and steering.
Please email me at cgrunau@pathcom.com or phone 905-274-4136 for further
information and pricing. All above items are in stock for immediate mailing.
 Regards, Bob Grunau
