My TC-4946 has been off the road since 1961, and I'm continuing the
disassembly. Everything has looked fine up till now. The tub came off over
the weekend, and the reason for the missing right rear shock is evident. At
some point the car went offroading and hit something . This tore the right
shock mount off the car and bent the flat plate that connects the two. The
rear tube crossmenber has a bit of a bend as well. Has anyone parted out a TC
chassis? I'd like an original shock mount and right rear shock. Are TC's
noted for leaking lube from the rears? I removed most of it and have an
almost new looking axle housing, shinny paint and all. Let's hope the
internals are the same. Bob TC4946

Bob Well they are not noted for keeping it in! There are good fixes to the rear axle that will prevent the leaking into the brake area. Also you can replace the front pinion seal with a modern seal if you desire.
