Datsun Steering Box for TA

Dear Kimberites: We have been informed that the Datsun steering box that fits a TC won't fit a TA.?????? The chassis are the same except the battery boxes locations. Is this true, and if so, why? Kindest regards, Alan & Victoria Campbell
