Hmmm, maybe I spoke too soon. I was thinking about Terry Gallentine's brisket, which I am not sure Tim has tried.> > I'll have to ask Tim about the BBQ when I see him later this week. >

fork oil change
There seem to be two ways of changing the fork oil (without removing the forks from the bike)and I'd like to know which is best. One is to measure 355 ml of oil and pour it in--which seems nice and easy. The other way is to measure the level--which is also easy but I can't figure out how to compress the forks all the way with the bike on the lift.
Am I safe in just pouring in the 355 ml,sealing things up,and saying thats' that?

fork oil change
David,
What I did was drain the oil from one side into a graduated container, then mark the level. Then drain and clean the container, fill to the line (with ATF!!!) and add to the fork. Repeat for the other side - JUST the refill part as you've already seen how much was in.
You can always go slightly MORE or LESS ATF to tailor it to you.
Mine stays the same as what came out.
Cheers,
Ed
