tengai tank
Mike
They mount the same as the A models. The only difference is the extra mounts
for the fairing and bellypan. Remember the Tengai plastic is the brittle
stuff and doesn't flex like the A models.

Is the Tengai tank the same as for the "A" model? I'm looking to
putting Tangai plastics on my 01.

Where are you located?
In my personal opinion. I wouldn't trust a dealer mechanic unless I could
observe his work and be able to discuss his efforts with him. In today's
"modern" shops, that ain't happenin'! Outside of that, I wouldn't trust a
"stealership" as far as I could throw one.
There may be a KLRista or 2 in your area that could help you help
yourself.
