mesh armored jacket--recommendation

OK. In a couple of weeks (hopefuly) when I'm recovered enough to start riding I"ll need to have a protective jacket. Since it's warm, mostly, I was looking at a mesh jacket. Are there any you recommend (for under $200 hopefully)? Vlad In Riverside __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I have been satisfied with the inexpensive Brosh jacket from Israel. I ordered the back armor upgrade, too. it is wearing well and was very comfortable in hot weather. http://www.brosh.com Vladimir Vega III wrote:

I picked up a Joe Rocket Ballistic series Phoenix jacket shortly after they released the "new model" jacket (I got the older one) for somewhere around $30. It has armor inserts everywhere and when I'm wearing it I can feel airflow just walking around. Looking at their website the price for one of the new ones is $150. --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Vladimir Vega III wrote:

It s at the upper range of your budget, but I recommend the Olympia Airglide 2 Mesh Tech Jacket. It is very well made and works as a three-season jacket (zip out waterproof liner, with wet-suit zipper). I have the neon yellow and black, but there are less obvious, more stylish, choices. +1 for the Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket. I did the MSF ERC on an 87 degree day on an asphalt parking lot and managed to stay cool. It has armor in all the right places. horkdoom wrote:

I have the intake and love it. I wore it all winter and never got cold and have worn it on a number of 85 degree plus rides and never gotten to hot. The one thing I would say is try one on before you buy. The liners can make it feel snug...until you take them out and realize you have a very large jacket. Luckily it is pretty adjustable in the arms, so you can tighten the sleeves. I bought an XL but could have gone down to a L...I got a bigger one because I thought I would need more insulation in the winter, but I didn't. but, I think it is a fantastic bargin for the price.
