Even for NKLR this is getting a little deep. Do you mean to tell me
that there isn't anything even remotely KLRish to talk about?!? I'm
sure that there must be at least a few hundred "global warming" forums
out there.

I live 2100 ft above mean sea level. In the winter I have seen 25 to
40 below zero, as has Jim T.
The thought of the sea coming up 10 or 15 feet, and the average
temperature rising by a few degrees in the next 100 years, somehow is
not a serious matter for me. In a few million years it will get very
cold again, and our descendants will all grumble, then head South, as
they did some millions of years ago.
On the scientific side, I keep reading that this warming is
inescapable, another good reason to worry my brains out.
Lets have an oil/tyre/fuel thread soon to replace the climatologists
nightmare scenario.
Happy Easter to all.

Will we we have any descendants in 200 or even 500 years from now?

In case you're serious, Fred. (Figure the chances. VBG)
This is done on heavy equipment all the time but Dooden is right about it adding a bunch of complexity. If going that route, I suggest that you plumb the grease hoses to a central manifold connected to a hand operated grease gun. This way you can grease while moving in case you hit that 2,000 mile service interval when there's no safe place to pull over.
