carb problem on concourse

In my experience the best type of 'in-fuel' carb cleaner is Techron, if you can't find that then Seafoam is the next best on to use. My Concourse has been sitting a lot lately and has developed a stumbling type of engine running at low rpm's on taking off. It clears itself out after you accelerate. I guess it might be a clogged pilot jet. One guy told me to add some carb cleaner to the tank of gas. Godd idea? Bad idea? If so what brand?
