I use synthetic in my cars for the cold starting ability. I tried syn
in my bikes, couldn't detect the difference, and switched back. The
biks don't need cold starting ability.

moly in da oil

"Mythology. I use Red Line oil, which has a very high amount of moly,
in my KLR and have zero clutch issues. I have never met a single
person who's been able to prove it was moly in the oil causing clutch
slip. Moly may allow a weak, worn-out clutch to more noticeably slip,
but that's a clutch problem, not a moly problem."
Also Honda sold their motorcycle oil with moly for many years. Obviously
they didn't think it was bad for motorcycles.

Try starting it in 10 degree F. It does make a difference.
