Well, I got a call about my GS for sale, and I've got a feeling it might be sold soon. Soooo, anyone know of a KLR650 for sale in Northern Californication? I prefer a pre-'96, in decent shape, but a good runner. Don't need no stinkin' pristine showroom bikes, either (it sure as hell won't stay that way). I just happen to have a ride planned for next weekend, and I don't want to be left bikeless. That would really suck. Cpt. Ron

Capt Ron: Just wondering.... why a pre-96. Didnt they update the clutch and stuff post 96. Is it because you want the kick starter? Is it easier to super-charge the pre-96 bikes? What are you hiding from us? Pat / Austin

The biggest reason is the ability to change the front sprocket easily. A kickstarter would be nice, too, but I understand that the parts may not be available anymore. I'm not hiding anything, I'm just hiding. Cpt. Ron

I am looking for a used klr in good condition under $3000. The closer to Oklahoma the better.

HI Gang !! after a year away from KLRs (riding ducatis and nighthawks) i am once again looking for one. Year not important--conditon is. prefer one with as many of the following as possible------Doohickey done, corbin(or other)seat, happy trails hi-way pegs, piped(prefer supertrapp) and jetted, monster tubes-------of course it would be nice to have excellent street tires(IE: Gripsters) ----excellent chain and sprockets etc. Am looking for a low mileage (certainly under 20k) one that has been used for road and not off road and has been treated with care. will pay premium for condition and accessories. I have a very nice 1992 honda nighthawk (casesavers/Kuryakyn hiway pegs--travelcade leather bags--cruise control and superbike grips--new BT45 tires--16k miles---black---needs nothing) I can make a trade or buy outright. I want to thank Chris K. and everyone on the list for allowing the old guy back to share your world--------The Kingfish
