Reguarding Harley Davidson during the AMF years, it was in fact AMF who recognized the poor engineering of the Harley engine and decided to change it with closer tolerances and other improvements, when Harley took over the company they just instituted AMF's redesign. Is it me but it seems all the Harley riders around here ride aroung with a mean grimace, are the bikes that bad to ride? The reason Harley riders don't wave they are afraid to let go of that shaking machine.I asked my friend who Harleys to go for a ride he said sure lets go the the beach 11 miles from my house. HOG stands for Harleys Obsolete Garbage.By the way it Hardley Able Son.

All this Harley bashing really cracks me up... I enjoy my Harley, I ride it regularly (with anything but a grimace on my face), wave at all other motorcyclists and still enjoy the other brands I've owned - each of the "big 4", plus KTM and Husky. I also spend very LITTLE time polishing the chrome...geez, talk about stereotyping! Best Regards to ALL motorcyclists - not just KLR owners/riders. Scott --- weeksgregg wrote:
