And I've already enjoyed bagging my season's limit of deputy dawgs. I was on my out of town and well in excess of the legal limit on a four lane stretch of road. The DD was coming the other way and hadn't been able to see me until about 75' before we passed each other. Out of the corner of my helmet I caught his head snapping around to try and get a good look at me. Luck was on my side as the traffic was heavy enough to give me about a 1/4 head start before he was able to turn around, by which time I had already pulled off the highway and into an industrial area. As soon as I had seen him start his turn I locked up the rear and slid the bike through the turn onto the side road and dove in behind a SUV parked by the side of the first unit. I as more or less hiding in plain sight if you happened to look my way. About 30 seconds later the DD came roaring down the side road, eyes focused on a turn about a 1/4 away. I watched until he turned out of sight letting me continue on my way. He was so sure that I was just up ahead, around that turn that he never thought to take a look between the units. Of course, I figure I'm a marked man for the next month or two so I'm trying real hard to keep under the posted limit.
