Zach again demonstrates his superb diplomatic skills. Another list newbie demonstrates his total lack of a sense of humor at all. Spending $2000 on accessories before you really ride the bike at all is just silly. Sorry, you basically said it yourself. And this is not the first time we've all seen this sort of thing. Since you're getting free access to a thousand-odd KLR enthusiasts, any of which might need a new bike or know someone who does, I respectfully suggest you not act like someone who wouldn't be fun to deal with in a transaction. That's the whole point that the seller has missed as well- there is no hate. Part of the fun of the list "community" is giving people sh*t about dumb things they've done from time to time, partly because it's funny and partly to exercise their sense of humor a little. It's inevitable that someone who signs up and starts posting without observing the tone of the list for a little while will get riled up by this. FWIW Zach usually beats the rest of us to the punch if he's done something really, really stupid. If every single conversation you have is completely polite, respectful, and civil you never find out much about the other people involved. Particularly via email where there's no other opportunity to form an impression. Want to find out what kind of person someone is? Get them pissed off about something and see how they behave. -- Devon Brooklyn, NY A15-Z '01 KLR650 '81 SR500 cafe racer "The truth's not too popular these days....." 2004 klr650 for sale

OK Devon, good points all. I just lost $100 on C, but won big on NE to win. Net gain was only $200! Back to the issue - The buyer / seller thing - Deposit in escrow if any care exists! I acquired my KLR650 based on my verbal confirmation and my eBay record. I paid, in cash, less than 36 hours later, for my current KLR650. Mike Torst Las Vegas

wtb: exhaust system

My Big Gun blew up for the last time and I need to get a quieter exhaust. If you have upgraded to an aftermarket system and want to sell your stock exhaust--even just the rear piece--let me know. Or, if you have an aftermarket system that is in good shape and is fairly quiet that you no longer want, I may be interested in that also. Thanks. Don Sprinkle Charlotte, NC
