semi-newbie question of the week

Post by Guy B. Young II - COG Tech. Ed. » Fri Jun 06, 2003 10:15 pm

For those of you who have installed the front fork, Roeseler endorsed, Progressive springs, are you also running air pressure, or none? Reason I ask: If Progressive springs are installed in the pre-'94 (Kawasaki) Concours, no air pressure is required fo preload. The springs themselves are sufficient. Is this the same on the KLR? Kawasaki recommends no additional air pressure, and the instructions that came with my springs don't mention it. So, no air pressure works for me. --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "Guy B. Young II - COG Tech. Ed." wrote:

klr 650 500 mile check up

Hi ya'll, Got A17 and had 700 mi. I'm new to bike but changed my own oil at 500. Checked all bolts and nuts. With all these discussion with the groups of dealers screwing customers scares me. So far engine is quiet and running perfect. Mod change: Acerbis Pro Handguard after spill on dirt practicing, Serrated foot pegs on the way, disabled safety switch on clutch and side stand (works great, thanks guys for the advice), and installed a beeper on my turn signal lights (to remind me after the turn) down the street. Maybe looking forward to valve check once I got the right tools and courage.?? Rey/San Diego Ca A17 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
