Hi guys, I just got my new KLR, it's awesome, even in the rain here in
Jersey.
Question 1: It has almost 1000 miles on it, and the guy I bought it
from said I would have to take it to the dealer soon to get the valves
adjusted. Is this true? Can I do it myself with standard tools, or
do I need some special stuff?
Questions 2: When the kickstand is down, I am able to put it in to
gear and it stays running. I never had a bike where it does this, is
something broken or unhooked, or is this just KLR style?
Thanks, looking forward to a great summer of riding...

nklr - bounced from the list
Just curious why I seemingly got bounced from the list... Yes, I
sold my KLR, but I still enjoy this list and intend to continue
lurking until Maw Kaw comes out with the KLR1000A1, V-twin sibling to
the V-Strom. At which time I will rejoin the wonderful world of Dual
Sport bikes. Funny, I saw a Toyota ( I believe) the other day with
the factory insignia on the back of "Dual Sport"... I had to
chuckle...
