Dooden,
You take a teaspoon of motor oil when you are sick? Do you use synthetic or dino-juice? What weight do you feel works best?
Working way too hard today,

kick start success!
Fellow listers:
Thanks to the help of other "kick starters" out there, I am
now able to start my `93 on first pop every time (so far), even this
morning at 25 degrees.
Technique:
1) Fold both right side foot pegs up to avoid "instep crunching"
and "heel bruising"
2) set choke as needed during FINE-C procedures
3) Push kick start lever slowly though it's range until you feel the
compression from TDC
4) Continue to push through TDC about 1/4" and you'll feel
another "compression bump", push through this too.
5) Allow lever to return to full up-stroke and then kick down
smoothly and full stroke.
6) If your foot hurts, see step #1
It sounds more complicated than it really is. This procedure
isn't in the owner's manual (I'm guessing here) since the kick
starter was an option. Seems like the automatic decompression valve
is a good thing. The KLR doesn't kick back like my `73 Yamahammer 360
Enduro while kick starting.
Jeremy:
I wasn't able to open your mpg file on the procedure:

Thanks for all the help KLR folks!
Chuck, (happily kick starting) Chiodini
