k & n question

baseless bash guard bashing
I keep reading about how bad the stock plastic bash
guard is, but have yet to read of anyone sustaining
damage because they didn't replace it with aluminum.
Could it be that Kawasaki engineers got the bash guard
design right?

Bryan,
I recall reading at least one incident of case puncture from rock with
the OEM guard. I beleive I read it in the paper version of Dual Sport
News. And maybe more than one. And I've put a serious ding im my
aluminum one and was glad it was there.

baseless bash guard bashing
When I lived in Phoenix, my Moose plate took a few shots that dented
it serverly. I am pretty sure that the stock plate would not have
protected the bike. I guess it depends on where and how you ride.
(Lots of BIG rock in AZ).

YEA ! I got a big ding in my aluminum plate in Mexico.
And some one on the list RIPPED there drain plug off going down some steps....
Better call Fred real quick.......... Just look how the drain plug sticks out
on the stock plate,,, Not good..............And someone was looking into a
flat dran plug??
