I went on a trail ride with a guy who casually mentioned while we
were stopped for a rest that he was packing a pistol. I was a little
surprised that anyone would bring a gun along for a ride, considering
he didn't even have a spare tube with him.
I asked him why he had brought his pistol along and he said: "Haven't
you seen Deliverence?". Hmmm, kind of got me thinking. -Ed

?? i've seen lots of sly stallone movies too, but i don't bring a freakin'
rocket launcher along in case the local police try to hassle me and send me
into flashbacks of my military training.
i think you're friend brings a gun just because he likes to play with guns.
i suppose guns are ok, if that's what you're into, but i'd way rather play
with bikes.

That's so he could shoot you and take your ride if he got a flat.
Much quicker than changing out a tube.

Tom,
If you don't have any luck in the next 10 days, let me know. I'm stuck in
Los Angeles right now, but can take pictures of the mount points of the HT
panniers when I get back to Florida - hopefully by the 15th.
