greetings from messico

Post by Jeronimo Mazarrasa » Mon Jul 03, 2000 8:26 pm

Greetings everyone, I'm new to the list and I'm glad to have found it. I drove my (second hand, 10,000 mile) 87 KLR from Wash DC down to Mexico and have been riding it around this hilarious country for the past four months. If you are ever in the mood most of it is pretty well documented with plenty of pictures (slow download, be patient) at http://www.eternal.net/jeronimo the text is by far the best part, plenty of misadventures to keep everybody entertained...we didn't think it was so funny at the time, but it definitely makes for good reading, do try to go through it while the pictures come down....anyway needless to say the bike has done great, but it's also suffered a great deal lately, for various reasons. I'm going to have to replace a few things inside the engine (new piston, rings, plus a few other things) I have the stock numbers (thank you reverend for that page!) I can order the parts in the US, have them sent to my friends house in DC, and they'll bring them to me when they come south of the border in a month or so. My question is: what is the best/cheapest place on the internet to order such parts, and pay with my CC? I figured some of you experineced KLR owners would know some good places. While I'm at it, I replaced one of the fork seals and oil, anyone know how much air (pressure) I should pump on it? It feels a bit sticky. Thanks a million for the help. All the best Jeronimo __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo! Invites. http://invites.yahoo.com/

Wow guy. They do as well as any other flat wise with my experience.. Did you find out why it went flat?. I've cut the heck out of them with sharp rocks and spinning the tire with no flat at that time. -- Best Regards & Happy Trails Andy Chesley @ 57 and ticking Y2KLR650 @ 5.4K sMiles 97 R11RA (Amiga) @ 14K Miles So Many Roads, So Little Time http://members.deltech.net/aches/
