The big question here is what actually caused the flat. I picked up a 10 penny nail out in the middle of nowhere at Moab this year. Was it actually a pinched tube or was there an object embedded in the tire. Subject: [DSN_klr650] Backfire during engine braking
With stock jetting, a moderate amount of backfiring during engine braking would seem to be the norm. You might want to check the tightness of the nuts holding the exhaust header to the head, as these can come loose and intoroduce air into the system, resulting in more pronounced popping. -Tom>Good Morning Collective... >I have a stock A14 with 1500 miles on it. Is there an adjustment on the carb for engine braking, or >is this normal during the first few k miles? Any suggestions?
