spark arrester cleaning / chirping - related?

Post by Brad Davis » Sun Jul 02, 2000 10:55 pm

Greetings all, The stock muffler on my A9 chirps and I noticed the Owner's Manual has a procedure for removing the three plugs and blowing out the carbon. Has anyone done this and could it be related to the chirping syndrome? Thanks, Brad A9

nklr laying down in the water

I'd heard that Air Force (U.S.) Pararescueman and Combat Controllers don't practice nearly getting drowned in their initial training. Most of them actually get drowned! This is part of their "water confidence" training. I met a fellow who wound up drowning trying to get through the course. The object was to "STAY UNDERWATER!!!". Apparently, if you came to the surface, the kindly instructors would force you back into the pool. If you succeeded at the task, you would be removed from the pool, revived, then get yelled at for "sleeping at the bottom of the pool". How's them apples? Chris Astier
