June 22 was Volkswagons "Day of the Bug" "Drive your Bug to work day". So, I shine up my little '79 Super Beetle Conv. and get really excited about seeing all the other bugs on the road. Lo and behold, I felt like I was the only one that apparently knew about it in this part of the world anyway. I hope there's a better response from the motorcycle crowd. Not that I mind riding my bike into work! The problem is my wife and I ride in together and she wasn't thrilled about driving in with the top down on the bug (hair thing). With very few bugs on the road that day, she seemed a little suspicious, almost as if I was just trying to torcher her! She likes the KLR, but is not thrilled about going to work with "helmet hair". Never bothered me, I don't have enough to mess up. Oh well! Come on guys, ride those bikes or I may never get away with one of these "days of whatever" again!! Paul Dallas, Tx A13 k650dsn@... wrote:
