[dsn_klr650] power loss

Post by Jim & Shannon Morehead » Mon Jun 12, 2000 8:24 am

Hi Bryan, I suppose you have checked the obvious things by now (loose connections, burned wires, etc.). I just did similar mods to my A13 and have just about the same overall and modified mileage with no problems yet. I did note during my mod that the insulation on a couple of wires right under the carb was a little melted. They seemed to have been in contact with the head pipe. Just a thought for an area you might check. Did you do a "Stage 1" or "Stage 2" jet mod to your bike. I did a Stage 2. There was a recent thread about a guy in Europe who described a similar problem. His bike was fixed by bypassing the side stand interlock I think. Let me know how things work out and what your overall impressions are of the mods. Good luck, Jim

I'd check the vent tubes and supply of fuel at higher rpms. Todd A9

[dsn_klr650] side luggage racks?

Must say that Tim's racks are quite excellent, and they hold the Givi side bags that I got through him well, too. And all the comments from people at work, and more importantly, fellow motorcyclists make it seem like I did something not just good for me and my ride, ut DAMN I LOOK COOL WITH THEM! *lol* Chris Astier
