i've been looking into these thingies, and a good choice (obviously requiring some mods) might be the Motorola Talk About Distance. it has a five mile range. you might be expected to have an amateur license to use it (easy to get, if you decide to play fair), but not to buy it... _pete = =========== Anybody out here has any recommendation on purchasing 2-way radios? I am looking for something with rugged body and extended range (at least 2 miles). Brands? Thanks, pete@...
