I'm not disagreeing with your brand recommendation, but I do disagree with a broken clutch leaving you stranded. It really doesn't have to. If you disable the clutch safety switch and the sidestand safety switch, you can start the bike from a dead stop without the clutch. You click it down into first with the engine killed, then thumb the starter. You can then speed shift up to higher gears as you get up to speed. Been there, done it. However, a spare clutch cable is very light to carry, and requires minimal tools to replace. I'm just saying that it doesn't have to leave you stranded.
