Be sure to get the wheels off the ground for long term storage.
I don't use a cover. ... Just like my favorite weapons, I use cosmoline. A
1 gal bucket will coat the entire bike well. Then wrap it all in saran
wrap.

Or was that baby oil and saran wrap?... Honey what was.....? EEEH!
